Having spent the last year and half renovating my studio I have finally begun moving back in. It’s a bit smaller than it was originally so having to be more organized and frugal with space. It took a full year to clean everything out of the old studio to prepare for the renovation. Not easy deciding what stays and what goes. I no longer have the luxury of working large-scale with toxic materials, as I share the space now with my lovely wife Clare who is a designer.
The trade off has been worth it though – a clean organized space has motivated me to do other things. For instance this tiny watercolor was the first thing I did after getting my drawing table setup. It had been 30+ years since I had used the medium and it was wonderful.
Finishing up a commission that was interrupted by the renovation is my current goal.
